Big Bear Recruitment are currently on the lookout for an experience Registered Mental Health Nurse and/or a Learning Disability Nurse to be a part of a growing nearby Diss on the Norfolk and Suffolk border.

 

The Hospital has a total of 90 beds, all treating patients with Learning Disabilities and some of which who have been diagnosed under the Mental Health Act. There is though a mixture of patients at the Hospital, both within the Low and Medium Secure Wards; ranging from those with Autism and other AS Disorders, to those with a history of Addictions and Substance Misuse.

 

The Hospital has gone through a considerable period of growth and improvement over the past 12 months, both with Staffing levels and facilities and where once “Requiring Improvement”, is now is fully compliant with CQC Regulations and performing “Good” in all areas; the most recent Report being in August 2018.

 

Situated between the towns of Diss and Eye, the Service is commutable from the major cities of Ipswich, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds and has convenient transport links to and from the area.

 

Due to how the challenging nature of the role, we are ideally looking for candidates who have a minimum of a year of experience, preferably within Learning Disabilities and/or within a similar environment, but there is the possibility of a Preceptor Nurse being considered.
